Due to the different kind of beaches, it is very rarDue to Sagres location in between the northern coast and the southern coast beaches, it its very rare that we had to cancel surf classes, should however that be the case, we will ensure to be able to reimburse of reschedule as soon as possible.

At the meeting point we load our surf van with the respective surf boards. Traditionally the surf material is returned. Should you like to meet it after the class we offer very friendly prices for rental by the hour or several days. Just speak with our reception staff and they will be able to advise you on most suitable option.

During our surf classes we provide a lunch box, which contains a sandwich, 1 water and 1 piece of fruit. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan or have a gluten free diet we are able to cater for your dietary requirements, just let us know!

We are passionate about finding the best conditions for our students to surf and this is reason why the surf times varies across the month in order to match the tides. We would recommend you to check our calendar and check the specific meeting times for the desired date.

The beach is selected daily based on wave and weather conditions to ensure the best learning experience. Sagres has a wonderful selection of different beaches that include beaches in Sagres in itself like Mareta, Beliche and Tonel but depending on the swell and wind direction, our surf instructors may decide that the best conditions can be more on the northern or southern coast.

Our group classes have a maximum of 8 students per surf instructor. Our private classes are a more personalised experience as the surf instructor can fully dedicate to improving surf technique.

We offer group lessons for complete beginners to advanced intermediate surfers looking to refine their technique. At the beach our instructors make an assessment to understand if students have the skill set to start facing green waves and they adapt their teaching methods accordingly.

Each lesson begins with a brief theory session, followed by a warm-up and hands-on practice in the water, tailored to individual skill levels.

Our Group and private lessons typically last around 3 hours, split into two 1.5-hour sessions. Our children’s class last 2 hours, split into two 1.5-hour sessions as we find this is a better fit for our young students.

Besides the class with a professional surf teacher, the lesson price covers the surf equipment which is a surfboard, wetsuit, beach transfer, a lunch box (vegan and vegetarian options available), and insurance.

We would recommend to bring a towel, sunscreen, swimsuit, and flip-flops. A reusable water bottle is also recommended! Anything else? No, just bring yourself and be ready to be have a fun experience!

Although we have dorms, there are also private en-suite rooms available with mini-fridge and nice balcony with a view of the swimming pool. Our rooms have a capacity for 2-3 people. We also have 2 fully equipped studios – with equipped kitchen that has a capacity for 2-3 people

Yes, all our clients can take advantage of daily international buffet breakfast, which includes local products as well as options which caters for different dietary preferences or restrictions.
